The central theme of this profile of Song Seon-mi is rounded cheeks and soft mouth corners. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.
Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw
The cheeks are wide and gradually narrow as they go down. A round oval flow surrounds the entire face.
Even within the large oval frame, the width of the cheekbones and chin are not the same. If you follow the speed from the widest part of the face down to the tip of the chin, you can see changes in the outline that are not revealed by length alone.
Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows
The center of the forehead is open between the partings. Hair on both sides covers the outside of the forehead.
You should look at the shape of the exposed part of the forehead and the hair on both sides. Since the parting and bangs are the lines that divide the upper margin, there is no need to immediately interpret the asymmetry seen in the photo as asymmetry of the forehead itself.
Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

The eyes are horizontally long and the curves below the eyes rise with a smile. The lines of the eyelids run low.
In photos with facial expressions, the vertical width of the eyes and the height of the cheeks below the eyes change. If you look at the curve of the lower eyelid rather than just looking at one point at the corner of the eye, you can read the movement of the center of the face more specifically.
Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes
The eyebrows are long and relatively gentle. The tip becomes thinner and continues outside the corner of the eye.
Eyebrows can be examined by distinguishing between the density of color and the curve of the line. By comparing the inner thickness and the direction of the outer edge with the eyelid line, you can see how the outline surrounding the eye is formed.
Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth
The tip of the nose is round and the width of the nostrils is visible. The bridge of the nose and the volume below are naturally connected.
The tip of the nose and both nostrils are areas where small curved surfaces are gathered. If you look at the widening border on both sides instead of just looking at the bright side in the center, you can see the width that changes from the bridge of the nose to the bottom of the nose.
Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face
Lips and Mouth Corners
The ends of the closed mouth rise to form a smile. The lower lip is slightly thicker than the upper lip.
Jawline and Chin
The tip of the chin is round and the jaw lines on both sides are gentle. The line coming down from the cheek to the lower face does not bend sharply.
When the mouth opens or the corners of the mouth rise, the width of the mouth and the space left up to the chin also change. If you look at the raised position of the cheeks and the tip of the chin together rather than just the lips, you can see the process by which a smile changes the ratio of the lower jaw.
Step 7: Overall Balance — Rounded Cheeks and Soft Mouth Corners
Song Seon-mi's cheeks gently flow into her chin, leaving a round width. If you look at the corners of the mouth that are raised with a smile and the curves under the eyes, you can see the lines of expression moving upward and sideways within the round outline.
