The central theme of this profile of Lim Yoona is a small lower face and a slender central line. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.

Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw

It is an outline that narrows from the cheeks and cheeks to the chin. The bottom of the face is small.

Even within the large oval frame, the width of the cheekbones and chin are not the same. If you follow the speed from the widest part of the face down to the tip of the chin, you can see changes in the outline that are not revealed by length alone.

Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows

The center of the forehead is exposed between the parting and thin bangs.

You should look at the shape of the exposed part of the forehead and the hair on both sides. Since the parting and bangs are the lines that divide the upper margin, there is no need to immediately interpret the asymmetry seen in the photo as asymmetry of the forehead itself.

Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

The eyes have a round upper line and are long horizontally.

The shape of the eye can be better revealed by dividing it into the horizontal length and vertical opening. The curve of the upper eyelid, the lower border, and the area that tapers to the corner of the eye combine to form a single outline.

Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes

The eyebrows are long, relatively straight, and have thin ends.

Eyebrows can be examined by distinguishing between the density of color and the curve of the line. By comparing the inner thickness and the direction of the outer edge with the eyelid line, you can see how the outline surrounding the eye is formed.

Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth

The thin bridge of the nose and the small, round tip of the nose are placed in the center of the face.

The tip of the nose and both nostrils are areas where small curved surfaces are gathered. If you look at the widening border on both sides instead of just looking at the bright side in the center, you can see the width that changes from the bridge of the nose to the bottom of the nose.

Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face

Lips and Mouth Corners

The ends of the closed mouth are slightly raised, and the lower lip has a rounded volume.

Jawline and Chin

The lower jaw comes together smoothly and leads to a small chin tip.

In a closed mouth, the curve in the center of the upper lip and the curved surface of the lower lip can be examined separately. Comparing the horizontal width of the lips to the width of the tip of the chin reveals how small lines and large outlines are placed within the lower face.

Step 7: Overall Balance — A Small Lower Face and a Slender Central Line

Yoona's small lower face reveals the width of her cheekbones and cheeks relatively well. If you look at the vertical line of the thin nose and the long eyebrows together, the changes in the width of the central line and the outer edge continue in different directions.

Lim Yoona's Facial Features at a Glance

  • Face shape: A narrow outline from the cheeks and cheeks to the chin.
  • Eyes: The eyes have a round upper line and are long horizontally.
  • Chin: The lower jaw comes together smoothly and leads to a small chin tip.

Together, these features show how the face's outer contour relates to the eyes and lower face. Looking at the connections between lines and surfaces helps explain the overall balance visible in this photograph.
