The central theme of this profile of Lee Chan-hyuk is narrow horizontal eyes and full lips. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.

Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw

It is an outline that narrows from the width around the cheekbones to the chin. The curve of the cheek and the diagonal line of the jaw line are distinct.

Even within the large oval frame, the width of the cheekbones and chin are not the same. If you follow the speed from the widest part of the face down to the tip of the chin, you can see changes in the outline that are not revealed by length alone.

Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows

The bangs cover the forehead, making the entire hairline invisible.

The end line of the bangs creates a new border on the upper part of the face. By distinguishing between the exposed space above the eyebrows and the space covered by the hair, you can avoid confusing the size of the forehead itself with the blank space created by the hairstyle.

Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

The vertical width of the eyes is low and the horizontal lines are long. The line of the eyelid lies close to the pupil.

The shape of the eye can be better revealed by dividing it into the horizontal length and vertical opening. The curve of the upper eyelid, the lower border, and the area that tapers to the corner of the eye combine to form a single outline.

Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes

Some relatively straight eyebrows are revealed beneath the bangs.

The visible eyebrow pieces were not drawn to form the full eyebrow shape. If you look at the direction of the confirmed line and the gap between the eyes, you can distinguish between the border of hair or props and the actual eyebrows.

Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth

The bridge of the nose is short and the tip of the nose has a round volume.

The tip of the nose and both nostrils are areas where small curved surfaces are gathered. If you look at the widening border on both sides instead of just looking at the bright side in the center, you can see the width that changes from the bridge of the nose to the bottom of the nose.

Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face

Lips and Mouth Corners

The center of the upper lip is clear and the lower lip is thick. The mouth is slightly open.

Jawline and Chin

The jawline gathers inward, leaving a small gap at the tip of the chin.

In scenes where there is a gap between the lips, the boundaries of the upper and lower lips are revealed. If you look at the degree of mouth opening and the space left up to the chin, you can see how momentary movement changes the length of the lower face.

Step 7: Overall Balance — Narrow Horizontal Eyes and Full Lips

Lee Chan-hyuk's low eyelid line reveals the horizontal length of his eyes. When you look at the short bridge of the nose and the thick lips together, the thin lines and rounded sides in the center of the face contrast up and down.

Lee Chan-hyuk's Facial Features at a Glance

  • Face shape: The outline narrows from the width around the cheekbones to the chin.
  • Eyes: The vertical width of the eyes is low and the horizontal lines are long.

Together, these features show how the face's outer contour relates to the eyes and lower face. Looking at the connections between lines and surfaces helps explain the overall balance visible in this photograph.
