The central theme of this profile of Jun Ji-hyun is a long oval face and a slender central line. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.
Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw
It is close to a long oval shape that slowly narrows from the forehead to the chin. The width of the cheekbones is wider than the chin, and the curve of the cheeks is smooth.
When looking at horizontal width, you can divide it into the width of the cheekbone height and the width of the lower jaw height. Whether the wide side of the cheek extends to the lower face or suddenly decreases at the chin is a criterion for distinguishing the shape of the outline.
Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows
One side of the forehead is wide open with a side parting. The exposed hairline continues in a round shape.
You should look at the shape of the exposed part of the forehead and the hair on both sides. Since the parting and bangs are the lines that divide the upper margin, there is no need to immediately interpret the asymmetry seen in the photo as asymmetry of the forehead itself.
Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

The length from inner to outer corners of the eyes is clear, and a gentle curve is visible in the upper eyelid. The gaze is directed straight ahead, and the arrangement of both eyes is clearly visible.
The shape of the eye can be better revealed by dividing it into the horizontal length and vertical opening. The curve of the upper eyelid, the lower border, and the area that tapers to the corner of the eye combine to form a single outline.
Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes
The eyebrows extend relatively straight and fall low at the ends. There is a certain space between the eyes and eyebrows.
The low eyebrows can be compared side by side with the horizontal line of the eyes. Looking at where the eyebrows start and end and how thin they become at the ends reveals the relationship between the two overlapping lines at the top.
Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth
The bridge of the nose is thin and long, and the tip of the nose is small and round. The nose emphasizes the vertical center line.
The long bridge of the nose creates a central line that extends from between the eyes to above the lips. Comparing the narrow width of the bridge of the nose and the rounded surface of the tip, the parts that appear as lines and the parts that appear as surfaces can be distinguished within the same nose.
Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face
Lips and Mouth Corners
A curve is visible in the center of the upper lip, and the lower lip has a round volume. The width of the mouth is much narrower than the width of the cheeks.
Jawline and Chin
The outline becomes softer as you move from the cheek to the tip of the chin. A small curve remains at the tip of the chin.
In a closed mouth, the curve in the center of the upper lip and the curved surface of the lower lip can be examined separately. Comparing the horizontal width of the lips to the width of the tip of the chin reveals how small lines and large outlines are placed within the lower face.
Step 7: Overall Balance — A Long Oval Face and a Slender Central Line
Jun Ji-hyun's long oval shape emphasizes the vertical direction along with the slender nose bridge. The long horizontal lines of the eyebrows and eyes divide the flow in the middle, and the round lower lip and tip of the chin add a small curved surface at the bottom.
